Newark, NJ – This past Saturday, May 9, 2020, Global Security agents screened 270 Nigerian citizens flying out on Ethiopian Airlines’ 737 Dreamliner from Newark Liberty International Airport to the Nigerian capital of Abuja. The Consulate General of Nigeria in New York announced last week that this flight would be the first in a series of repatriation flights organized by the Nigerian Government to help its citizens return home from the United States. As of this week, over 700 Nigerians have registered to be repatriated from the U.S. due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

All 270 passengers were efficiently screened by our EWR Private Charter Screening Team in order to board their return flight home. Our agents were happy to participate in this rescue operation and facilitate Nigerian citizens getting home to be with their families during this crisis. Global Security continues to assist our airline clientele with similar repatriation screenings around the country and provide support any way we can.
