New York, New York—Global Elite Group, the leading provider of aviation security services, announces it will be providing aircraft security to WOWair at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, beginning on July 13th. Global currently provides services for the airline at Newark’s Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. “WOWair has been a client at EWR for some time now, and we are pleased to expand our relationship with them in Chicago,” states William McGuire, President and CEO of Global Elite Group Inc.

WOWair has large growth plans for the U.S. market, the airline was founded by entrepreneur Skúli Mogensen, in Iceland, in 2011, and serves over 33 destinations across Europe, North America and Asia. The airline has grown rapidly since its inaugural flight in 2012, its signature purple planes, carried over 1.6 million passengers in 2016.

WOWair is based at Keflavik International Airport in Iceland.
