NEWARK, NJ – After a 12 year hiatus, Ethiopian Airlines, one of the fastest growing airlines in Africa, begins service to the New York area with its flight on Sunday, July 3rd, 2016.

Flights will be between Addis Ababa and EWR Airport in Newark, New Jersey with a frequency of three days a week. Flying on this route will be the Boeing 787 Dreamliner which boasts  24 business class and 246 economy seats. All seats come equipped with Ethiopian’s audio-visual in-flight entertainment consoles. A perfect treat for those long flights from New Jersey to Africa.

To ensure the safety of the nearly 300 passengers a flight, Ethiopian Airlines will rely on the expertise of Global Elite Group. Global will provide pre-flight checks and other security measures to solidify the safety of those on board.

To bring in the flight, a ceremony was held at EWR airport. Ethiopian’s CEO, Tewolde GebreMariam, as well as other executives and clients gathered to celebrate this important milestone in Ethiopian Airlines history.

As apart of its growth internationally, Ethiopian offers flights in various cities including; Tokyo, Manila, Dublin, Los Angeles, Cape Town, Durban, Gaborone, Yaounde, and Goma. All which have come in the past year.
